Trader Joe's Crunchy Salted Peanut Butter with Flax & Chia Seeds

This post is lonnnnng overdue. I picked this up when there was a flashy "new product" sign dangling in my face. That was months ago. And yes, I only got it because of the words "flax & chia seeds." PSA: If y'all haven't heard, flaxseeds & chia seeds fall into the super-trendy-health-food category.  There's some purported health benefits, some more scientifically backed than others. But hey bottom line --flaxseeds help with constipation.  Fun fact - apparently Martin Luther struggled with constipation toward the end of his life. That can definitely make a man miserable (or possibly in his case, anti-Semitic?)  Just sayin. So maybe some of y'all may be interested in jumping on this bandwagon if you know what I mean. Ain't nobody got time for that. :P

Trader Joe's Gingerbread House Kit

Someone must have read my last post on the polar bear tea, because when I waltzed into TJ's three days after Christmas it was GONE. YESSS. But so was the other holiday tea I didn't get to try. Matter of fact, Trader Joe's cleaned up their holiday stock so ridiculously fast it was a little disorienting. Most of the holiday garb was gone, except for the trio of hot chocolates, the coffee sampler, and a few other random things. I did spot a lone box of the gingerbread house kit above the ice creams, which methinks someone returned because I haven't seen a single kit in stock at my TJ's since November. Poor abandoned kit, wondering why he hasn't gotten adopted like all of his other friends. Which means unless you stumble upon the lonely abandoned kit, you probably can't find another one in stores until next year.

Trader Joe's Candy Cane Green Tea

Doesn't the polar bear looks so cute in his Christmas sweater and his mug of hot beverage? What a funny picture. The polar ice caps are melting, and the bear isn't swimming for his life but enjoying himself a cuppa'.

Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate and Milk Chocolate Crisps

It is a time-honored holiday tradition to give gifts. And to receive them. And to steal them. No crimes were committed or children harmed for the making of this post. I walked away with these chocolates from a snack-themed White Elephant gift exchange. My strategy? Have my gift stolen so I can steal back my own gift given my bias for the salty and crunchy.

But anyhow, shoutout to SWIRLS and the benevolent YAFers that neglected to steal these chocolate crisps away. These chocolates are available year-round in the frozen food/sweets aisle. And look! One-third of the packaging equates to one serving! Good news for chocolate lovers.

Contrary to the deceiving packaging, these are not chocolate-covered potato chips, which is kind of a letdown. At least chocolate-covered potato chip carries some novelty and has the sweet-savory factor.  There is nothing potato chip-y about these crisps besides the stackable shape. But let's not accuse TJ's of false advertising - no potato chip pro…

Trader Joe's Giant Peruvian Inca Corn

I'm always so pleasantly surprised by the cultural competence Trader Joe's demonstrates. I went to a school, where "cultural competence" was and still is a trendy buzz word that you insert into every essay to automatically earn you extra points. And I had no idea, Inca corn was a thing. Thank you Trader Joe for promoting diversity.

Trader Joe's Speculoos Cookie Butter Cheesecake

Disclaimer: I'm not a fan of cheesecake. It's one of the lower ranked desserts in my book. Not my least favorite dessert but if we compare it to the current NFL rankings, cheesecake would be somewhere down there with the New York Giants or Jets. Hey I don't make the rankings. They are what they are. :P

Trader Joe's Cornbread Stuffing Mix

Thanksgiving was so last month, and by the time this post goes live, you probably won't be able to this stuffing mix in stores anymore. Which is a shame. What if I want a Thanksgiving meal in July? I guess that's what Boston Market is for.

Trader Joe's Hot & Spicy Chicken Wings

So this happened. Wait what? The queen of vegetables and wings??

Trader Joe's 100% Honey Crisp Apple Cider

Trader Joe's French Vanilla Coffee

Disclaimer: I am not a coffee connoisseur. But hey! I drink it! And it's at Trader Joe's! So here goes nothing.
