Forgive me. One day I will look back on some of the photos I've used for this blog and shudder at how I allowed pictures that look like the twilight zone onto the internet. But for now, this will suffice.
This is one of those unexpected things that I found at TJ's that has made life much easier in the kitchen. My mom has this can of "chicken powder" from the asian grocery store, which she uses to flavor soups. Unfortunately, it's pretty much chicken flavor + MSG.
Lately, I've been obsessed with the Great British Bake-Off, which is only the best baking competition show ever. OBSESSED PEOPLE. OBSESSED. The style, the class, the accents, the lingo, the bakes I love it all. In fact, it has inspired me to step up my baking game. Which led to this purchase. Makes total sense.
A couple weeks ago, I was on the market for maple syrup to use for an apple crisp. Except it turns out quality grade A maple syrup is not that cheap. We don't consume massive quantities of pancakes around here, so I didn't feel like buying a jug of maple syrup would be worth it. On that note, Canadian friends, you are always welcome to bring maple syrup when you come to visit! :D
