Trader Joe's Everything but the Gluten Crackers

Here's a corona vaccine marketing idea - instead of naming it the Sars-Cov-2 vaccine (or whatever name Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and compatriots are deciding), let's call it the "everything-but-the-rona" vaccine to get more people to take it. Don't you want to get back to doing everything before the rona?  I know when you slap a "everything but the" label on a Trader Joe's product, I'm that much more inclined to try it. Maybe that's just how we need to think of the covid vaccine...take it (whenever Fauci and the clinical trials say it's good to take) to get back to doing everything but the rona. :P

I have nothing against gluten. I love gluten. But yes some people avoid gluten for various personal, medical, and popular-trendy-diet reasons. This one appealed to me because I happen to like Norwegian crispbread, which really is more of a heftier cracker than bread. A well-seasoned crispy cracker is right up my alley.

I suppose this is healthier in some senses than the average cracker. It has more fiber, a bit of protein, and undocumented benefits from all the seediness. And no bad fats. And it's a product of Norway! Woohoo.

Side note - I fully endorse this smoked cheddar cheese with paprika. Never mind that paprika doesn't really have a taste but adds a nice color that makes you think it has contributed something to the flavor too. How does it compare to unexpected cheddar? This one tastes like it's aged a bit more, it's a bit sharper, and smokier. Would repurchase.

1. My number one complaint - these crackers are puny. They are like dominoes. Which is nice if you like playing with your food. I suppose the size is good for portion control. Unless you're like me and love all things crispy and crunchy and savory, in which case the four servings per package is a joke.

1a. I finished the entire package of crackers by myself in like a day or two. Having a delicious cheddar to go with it probably did me no favors. I have no regrets.

2. Unlike the whole grain crispbread (the gluten-full version), this crispbread is SEASONED. Like with onion, garlic, and a bit of salt, which makes this taste so much better. It does taste healthy but it doesn't taste like cardboard y'all.

3. It's a pretty hefty, crunchy, seedy cracker, which is expected of a crispbread, but manageable because of its petite size. It could hold its own as part of a charcuterie spread.

4. $2.99 for a modest 4.2 oz package - not a bad price for gluten-free crackers. Definitely repurchaseable.

TL;DR: Trader Joe's Everything but the Gluten Crackers. I don't know about *everything* but it does give plenty of flavor without the gluten. 7 out of 10. Mantou Joe repurchase? An occasional yes.

    2. I wonder if the cheese was a seasonal item. I couldn't find it my last 2 TJ's visits.

    3. Oh no! I hope it wasn't seasonal...it makes no sense why it should be seasonal though.

    4. According to their website it was just a summer product. Another seasonal product I just tried and loved - the Pumpkin Curry Simmer Sauce. We went back to the store and loaded up on 3 more jars!
